Scout Opponents" Pre-Convention Seminar
Tuesday, Nov. 27, 1 p.m. - Presented by Tanya Porter,
USOC, and Karen Johns, USA Softball National Team Assistant
Coach
Do you have a video camera, video
player, DVD burner or DVD player sitting at home or in your
office? Do you utilize them in your daily practices,
instructional settings or games? The dynamic approach taught
in this seminar will teach you how to best develop, select and
effectively use video taping in player development and
scouting, even if you don’t have a large staff.
Some of the
areas to be covered include:
- How to use
video in developing players;
- Learn when
to use videotape during instruction and when not to use it;
- How to
create efficient scouting techniques to prepare your staff and
players for your opponents' tendencies;
- Learn to
identify your own tendencies and how to avoid being
predictable;
- Develop
specific offensive and defensive strategies for your team
members.

Olympic Committee, has over 20 years of experience at the USOC.
