Jessica Mendoza of Stanford is this week's Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I Player of the Week.

Mendoza led the No. 5-ranked Cardinal to the Speedline Invitational title as Stanford posted a 7-1 record. She was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player after hitting .462 (12-for-26) in the eight games. She hit three home runs and a double and had four RBI. She scored 12 runs, including the game-winners in both the semifinal and championship games. She also stole six bases. In three different games, Mendoza went 2-for-3 with a home run and a single. In a 2-0 win over Florida Atlantic, she stole two bases. She scored two runs in a 9-0 win over Georgia Tech and also scored the only two runs of the game in a 2-0 win over South Florida.

Mendoza leads the Cardinal (28-2-1) in hitting this season with a .460 average, including 10 home runs and seven doubles, and she has hit safely in her last 10 games. She also has 17 stolen bases and 34 runs scored, both team highs.
