Summary

Primary Duties
May Include, but not limited to the following:
- Assists the head and assistant coach in managing and directing the softball program.
- Assists the head and assistant softball coach with all aspects of the team including training, competing and scheduling.
- Organizes and maintains accurate inventory of softball equipment and uniforms.
- Assist with coordinating team travel arrangements.
- Commits to and is responsible for adhering to all rules and regulations set forth for the team, the University, and the NCAA with the utmost integrity.
- Completes other assigned administrative duties.
- Assists with recruiting including calling prospective student-athletes, evaluating high school and junior college players, and maintaining accurate records.
- Works cooperatively with personnel in the athletics department, attends department meetings and activities, and always represents the University positively when interacting with the community, alumni, high school and club coaches, media, and general public.
- Attends seminars, conferences, and other professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, must be admitted to a Graduate Program at Southern Arkansas University. Collegiate and/or Professional Fastpitch Softball playing experience required. Applicant must pass the NCAA recruiting requirements as required by the NCAA and the SAU Compliance Office.

- Help organize and assist with LMU Softball camps and clinics
- Assist LMU Strength & Conditioning staff with weight training & conditioning program as needed
- Regularly attend scheduled athletic staff and compliance meetings of LMU Athletic Department
- Serve as liaison to the LMU Training Room
- Responsible for communicating daily practice times, schedule changes, etc…
- Serve as the LMU Softball Academic Coordinator
- Serve as liaison to LMU Academic Support Services
- Organize monitoring program and monitor academic progress of student-athletes
- Organize and conduct LMU Softball Study Hall sessions
- Arrange academic tutoring sessions as needed
- Serve as the LMU Softball Community Service liaison
- Research, arrange and record TEAM community service opportunities
- Responsible for the organization of TEAM travel arrangements including (Meals)
- Oversee the LMU softball managerial staff
- Oversee the upkeep/maintenance of the LMU Softball locker room
- Oversee all aspects of team laundry
- Become AED/CPR certified
